Henry / Daigle Roots, Baton Rouge Louisiana
Who was Isidor Henry? He married Arthemise Daigle in Baton Rouge in 1841. They had a few children but I believe only our Theodule survived. Arthemise can be traced back but I can't verify parents for Isidor. I've seen names posted online but unsourced. Isidor is one of my missing links.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Odis Peek lived with his grandparents, Catherine Madden Griffis who had remarried to a Holeman. He spent time at Camp Pike Arkansas when WW! started. There he met and married Dorothy Lewis. Together they had 15 children.
Carrie Elizabeth Rushing (1895-1939)
Carrie Elizabeth married Varner Nicholas "Mingo" Cooper at 13 years old. (1909)
She gave birth to 18 children but eleven lived past birth.
Carrie died from Tuberculosis at 44 years old.
I'm told that she never grumbled or complained about being sick...instead she spent time with the kids at her bedside reading the Bible to them. Her faith was strong and she wanted them to feel God's blessings.
Carrie has always been a hero of mine.
She is buried in the Covington Cemetery in St. Tammany parish, La...as are other Cooper family members but possibly in unmarked graves.
Tuberculosis also claimed the lives of one of Carrie and Varner's children and at least one of Carrie's brothers.
